The Hartpury Rowing Start initiative is a joint venture between Hartpury College, The GB Rowing Team Start Programme and Gloucester Rowing Club. The aim of the programme is to identify and develop Olympic rowers. Launched in 2010, rowing is the seventh elite talent development sport established by the College.
Hartpury are looking to recruit two aspiring coaches from September 2014 to support the delivery of the Colleges Rowing programmes, as part of the existing coaching team. This is a unique opportunity for ambitious coaches looking for their first step on the coaching ladder, to develop their skills within an elite sports environment, as part of a GB Rowing supported programme.
The posts are designed to run alongside study on a Hartpury coaching or postgraduate degree course and therefore post holders will have the opportunity to develop their skills both from an academic and practical perspective.
Scholarships are available for successful applicants to support the cost of student accommodation and course fees.
