My name is John Faulkner,
I have been coaching at HP performance level since 1977 and now I am devoting my time, skills and knowledge to Students and clubs, in recent years I have assisted Durham Univ, Manchester Univ and Univ of West England on their training camps which I really enjoyed.
I will be visiting Oxford and London from April- June, and would be available for any amount of coaching sessions you need.
My background
My coaching career started in 1977 working with the Danish Lightweight and Junior Squads to 1987. (1984 Best Nation for Lightweights.)
After a break of 6 years , I returned to coaching in 2003-07 with the Danish Mens Squad, then on to Holland as Head Coach for the Dutch Lightweight Squad from 2009-2012.(ML 4- (6th) and LW 2x (8th) London Olympics)
Having participated at many World Championships from 1978-87 and 2003-12
25 finals and three crews qualifying for Olympic Games.
My merits are 17 medals at the World Championships.
Coached over 70 athletes that have represented their countries.
Specialties: Technical coaching, Training Programs, Dieting, Sports Massage, Motivation,
Preparations to Major Races and Boat Rigging.
