Green Templeton College Boat Club Women's squad is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and committed coach for our talented squad.
Due to unforeseeable circumstances we are coach-less after Torpids at the end of February. We have a strong base of experienced, returning rowers this year, most of whom have competed in numerous external regattas as well as the Oxford races, plus a group of keen, dedicated novices who started rowing in Sept 2012 and are full of potential. We need someone who will turn these ingredients into fast and fun crews for Summer Eights at the end of May, a variety of external regattas, and possibly even a return to Women's Henley this year.
As a graduate college we train year-round. Outings are in Oxford on early mornings and on weekends (3-4 outings per week per squad). Land training has usually been Monday and Wednesday evenings, but potentially flexible. The first crew usually trains in Reading on one weekend afternoon for longer stretches of water. Coaching would involve about 8-10 hours per week split between two crews, with some joint land training.
Any interested candidates are asked to submit their coaching CVs / statement of interest to president@gtbc.org.uk ASAP
