Performance Coach (Worcester Rowing Club)
As a part of their ongoing development plans, Worcester Rowing Club are recruiting for a Full Time Performance Coach to start with the club in Autumn 2016.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Develop and coach high performance rowing for men, women and Juniors.
Develop a coaching structure at the club, mentor existing volunteer coaches, recruit new coaches and raise the standard of coaching throughout the whole coaching structure.
Provide training programmes for the performance squads and work with all coaches to enable the programmes to be tailored for all squads.
To be part of the Rowing Development Sub-committee which is responsible for the organisation of rowing activities.
Work across the local community to identify new high potential talent for the performance squads.
Organise and run rowing and training camps.
Work with British Rowing regional and national contacts.
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will be at least Level 2 qualified and able to demonstrate both previous coaching experience and a good understanding of the factors involved in delivering success in high performance rowing.
Strong communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with other coaches within the club and in the local area.
The role will require a flexible approach to working hours.
This is an initial 12 month appointment to be reviewed with the possibility to extend to three years. A competitive salary will be offered.
The selection process may incorporate a practical assessment as well as a formal interview.
